This game is going to be so epic I can't wait. I loved the first one. I loved the first one too and I love the western theme, can't wait to play this.
|
| im psyched about the wildlife. like your in the middle of the woods and all of a sudden a bear pops out. im very psyched actually |
|
cant wait for this! Finish Exams, Play Red Dead 2 and watch the World Cup.....ohhhhhh yeeeee |
|
here are some impressions from people that played it at PAX East -Controls just like GTA4, Aiming is tighter/feels better and the movement between cover is better -There are some gory finishers when your within melee range of an enemy (shotgun under chin, pistol into gut) -Horse has a stamina meter, if you push it too hard for too long it'll either collapse or buck you off -You can ride anywhere you want (don't need to use buggy's or trains) -Day & Night cycles in game are based off your system clock (if you play at midnight then it'll be midnight in the game) |
Always been a fan of Westerns. There needs to be more quality Western sand box games. I approve of this!

Here's one of first details about multiplayer (a rumor as of now) Read Dead Redemption has an extensive multiplayer mode. Instead of a lobby, it begins with a free-roaming multiplayer mode where players can run freely through the game world. They can form gangs with other players they meet there, and this transition can be computer controlled bandits. |
| Sounds like this game is going to be ambitious. |
| Oh damn I am buying this |
|
Sounds like this game is going to be ambitious. yea, I just hope the framerate is alright.oh and there better be duel's online, that would be soooo epic |
| Yeah that's true. If they are using the same GTA IV engine - should be pretty good. I know it's not as simple as that, but they def got some framework to go off of. |

Yeah that's true. If they are using the same GTA IV engine - should be pretty good. I know it's not as simple as that, but they def got some framework to go off of. yea, I don't think a lot of people know that the RAGE engine (GTA4) was actually built for this game. They've been working on this for like 4-5 years now so hopefully they got some of the kinks worked out.
|
| I didn't know that. Thanks for clearing that up. Yeah so hopefully this is polished. I thought GTA IV was pretty spectacular. I just wasn't the biggest fan of the story. I'm much more a fan of Westerns, so I have high hopes for this. |
|
I loved the first one too and I love the western theme, can't wait to play this. played this today at the rockstar booth at PAX...let me tell you ITS AMAZINGGGG sooo fuckin good played it for like 15 min wouldnt allow us to watch a few cut scenes cause spoilers but i will be buying this first day...it was so worth waiting a hour to play |

From a Spanish Magazine -Up to 16 players can play online. -Free Roam allows players access to all 3 states/areas from the game where you can participate in Hunting Challenges, Duels and Raids. -From "Free Roam" you can access the more traditional modes like those from GTAIV like "Free For All" fighting, Team Racing on horses, War of Flags and more. -Cooperative missions like in GTAIV are present. Of course instead of helicopters or vans you get to use trains and stagecoaches. One example of a cooperative mission is protecting, or attacking, a stagecoach. The number of friends or people playing determines how many CPU enemies you have to kill or attack in this mode. -You gain experience points in multiplayer which you earn by pulling off a difficult shot or killing your rival. Gain enough points to level up which unlocks new weapons, new appearences and outfits, along with the possibility of unlocking faster and stronger horses. -You can also use Dead Eye in multiplayer too. |
| Damn the wait |
