I just counted. I obtained about 65 physical CD's this year (bought, gifted, and inherited).

respect is due, that's a whole lot of cd's! (and I thought I bought a lot this year with about 30 cds!)

Quote ! Report I might do a big pic at the end of the year. Probably just my favourite buys of the year, because I must have bought around 100. I can't be arsed to lay out that many albums.

Don't 'wow' him. He didn't know, but now he knows. If someone doesn't know anything and you don't like it that way, then teach him, don't wow him like he's ignorant.

MY PICKUPS:

Panacea - The Scenic Route
Q-Tip - The Renaissance

its one thing if they didn't know who an up and comer like Kid Cudi or Wale, or even someone like Rhymefest was, but it is Q-Tip who has been in the game longer than that person has even been alive....so they probably should know who he is.

but they don't. and who says knowledge of veterans is needed? I don't know shit about a lot of hip-hop veterans, but I can still enjoy hip-hop. Also, I know a lot of hip-hop veterans who really don't care about what used to be (KRS-One & LL Cool J for instance).

I agree. Other than their members and album names I know nothing about ATCQ. I probably didn't know Q-Tip was a member a year or so ago. If you do, well that's just great isn't it. When I joined this site I knew a lot less about music than I do now, and hopefully in another 18 months I'll know far more than now. Everyone develops.
