Same with Lightworks, I thought he might've done a bit more to that, but... nah. Just the 'light up the spliffs'. But although it's all kind of straightforward sampling, I've never heard of someone else sampling electronic moog records before Dilla. I might be wrong, but Dilla always seemed to know what sound was next up. |

i always thought the beauty of lightworks was the drums... who would've thought to put that shit together? the sample's random already and even if it's just a loop, no one would've thrown those drums over the sample.

I just found a cover of this song, it's really cool, but.. I kinda prefer this one (now that i've heard it, at first I thought I found the sample to the song you're about to guess, but naah). edit: Oh shit! I just found the sample to Shafiq Husayn - Nirvana! haha finding samples is such an afrodisiac!
