“Good Ass Job” to drop in September

Originally slated for a June release, Kanye's forthcoming longplayer Good Ass Job has been pushed back to September. According to an insider at last week's Island Def Jam Grammy U event in Santa Monica, there no specific date set, but it's on the label's schedule for a late-summer reveal.

+ Kanye will indeed be producing most, if not all, of the album. Remember back in the day when an artist would do a whole album with one producer for cohesiveness? Think classic Snoop or Jeru with Primo... and fast forward it to 2008.

+ Jay will be leaking the finished version of "Jockin" as soon as he adds a new 3rd verse to the song.

+ Tracks to look for include the aforementioned "Jockin' Jay-Z" and a new track entitled "Victory" that the rumor mill says is simply amazing.




Barack Obama to Introduce Kanye at Lollapalooza?

Barack Obama will introduce Kanye West onstage at Lollapalooza Festival (August 1-3) in an attempt to appeal to hip-hop fans, according to reports in the US media.

The Democratic Presidential Candidate, who has talked openly about aiming to use hip-hop to connect with his electorate, is expected to make a brief stage appearance at the festival in his home town of Chicago alongside the rapper-producer.

Speaking on US TV show 'What's In It For Us', Obama explained: "I've met with [b]Kanye [West]. And I've talked to other artists about how potentially to bridge that gap. I think the potential for them to deliver a message of extraordinary power that gets people thinking (is massive)."

The move comes after an announcement that Kanye West is going to perform at an event at the Democratic Convention in Denver (August 25-28), alongside Wyclef Jean and N.E.R.D.

Sources close to the candidate have told reporters, that Obama has left a slot open in his schedule for the appearance at the festival in Grant Park, less than a mile from the national campaign headquarters.

Rumours are mounting that Kanye West and 50 Cent could be ready to end their 'record sales' war of words and join forces on a track.

MediaTakeOut.com claim that 50 will remix Kanye's upcoming single Flashing Lights, they also quote an unnamed U.S producer "50 Cent never had anything personally against Kanye (like he did) with The Game, or Fat Joe. So it's not as crazy an idea as you'd think...Besides it's good for hip hop."
